When Lead Designer, Geri Jordan heard about a local initiative to feed health care workers on the front lines of COVID-19 at Mount Nittany Medical Center while simultaneously supporting locally owned and operated restaurants across the county, he knew it was something Designer’s Studio wanted to support.

On April 2, local residents, Heddy Kervandjian and Karen Miller Walker created a GoFundMe page entitled “Feeding Our Heroes & Supporting Local Restaurants” and in eight days $23,000 was collected for this heroic endeavor. At this writing, the total raised is $25,969.

Designer’s Studio has enthusiastically joined the effort by committing to a percentage of sales for the month of April and May to be donated, as well. We hope you will join us by making a purchase (you may contact us by email: ds@designerstudio.com) or simply by visiting the GoFundMe page to donate directly.

This is a wonderful example of the special community we have in Happy Valley. We are grateful to our medical response team members, our local restaurants and of course, the generous donors for creating an unselfish silver lining in this unprecedented time.

Be well, friends!
